When Casey first started this company in 2010 our clients primarily came through residential real estate. For the first few years it made sense to just operate the business as a sole-proprietorship under the name Casey Lewis.
As the business grew and began to also help clients with money and careers it was time to come up with an official corporate name.
While the Lewis family was going through their financial recovery, they were sacrificing many of the things they had grown accustomed to. They didn’t take a vacation from 2007-2015. They worked 6 days a week, 80+hour work weeks from 2007-2014. The drove 200,000+ mile vehicles, cut the cable bill, slashed expenses, sold almost all of their furniture etc. For years, they did only the essentials.
Until one day, they had no debt, an emergency account, some retirement savings, a stable and growing income. When picking a word of the year for 2015, Casey chose Adventure Year. The Lewis family was going to go on vacation for the first time as a family. They were going to spend money on non-essentials for the first time in a long time. They were going to only work 40 hours a week at most. They were going to go to the park and the kids participating in extracurricular activities. The sacrifice had paid off. They were going to have Adventure.
So naming the company Adventure Year just makes sense.
We teach you how to get out of debt, build wealth, create a place to call home, pursue a career you love, and to one day have your own Adventure Year.
